SAND AND WATER SEPARATOR FOR SILOS

A sand and water separator is used to separate concentrated silo juice and silo liquid dilu- ted with rainwater. Silo liquids are detrimental to the environment when released into sur- face water.

The sand and water separator has the following outer dimensions: length of 110 cm, width of 50 cm and a height of 57 cm. There will be a lid of 12 cm thick on top + drain grid and manhole cover. The weight of this element is 475 kg each.

Functionality:

• A bypass ensures the separation of the concentrated silo fluids and the fluids laid with rainwater.
• The slow, most concentrated flows are drained to a storage pit.
• During heavy rainfall, the water flows faster, causing it to flow over the separation wall into the bypass. This water is less concentrated and can be discharged when it meets discharge standards.

• The sand and water separator is manufactured in concrete grade C50/60 for environmental class: XA3 - XC
